  • Why was Family Table Founded?

    FT was founded to take the expertise Chef Mike had cooking as a personal and private chef for the wealthy and allow it to be a more affordable solution to bring busy families together for meals around their own Family Table.

  • How much should I order?

    We recommend a three day block of meals. This allows for you to have the beginning of the week set for a few days (or heading into a busy weekend!) of wholesome family-style meals that just need to heat and eat.  

  • Is it subscription based?

    No, but we do offer to notify our customers by text and/or emails weekly to remind them to order. Let us know if you would be interested in a subscription plan.

  • How often do menu items change?

    New items are rotated weekly!


  • What if I receive the wrong order?

  • Do I have to be home for delivery?

    To ensure the safety of your food, you must be home to receive your Family Table meals or leave an insulated cooler with ice packs. We cannot leave food unrefrigerated by law.

  • How far do you deliver?

    We currently deliver to a large portion of Allegheny County. Check out the How It Works page or insert your address at checkout to see if delivery is available in your area. Make sure to let us know your interest because we would love to expand delivery!

  • Can I pick up an order?

    Yes, we currently offer limited pickup at our kitchen. Our pickup hours are Monday and Thursday from 5 PM-7 PM.

  • How far in advance is the food prepared?

    Within 24 hours of delivery


  • Can I omit ingredients?

    Of course! Family Table can cater to any allergies, dietary restrictions, or dietary preferences, please contact us at (412) 406- 6278 for a custom order that fits your family’s needs! 

  • Can you supply nutritional information?

    Yes, ingredients, calories, and macronutrients can be made available upon request


  • Do you have Vegan/Vegetarian options?

    We do have vegetarian options

  • Do you have gift cards?

    Yes, there are links to gift cards on the home page and at the bottom of the FAQs.

  • Do you cater?

    You can order ½ pans of all of our food and simply heat them. We do not currently do traditional catering.

  • How did you get the name Family Table?

    My wife came up with the name when we were trying to figure it out. When she said Family Table--it just felt right as that is our goal--to “bring families back to the dinner table.”
